西表島の調査
西表島の調査が終わった。天気は悪い。寒い。雷がなる。台風はくる。
Finally finished the Iriomote field work. The weather was terrible, it was cold, and thunder was booming in the background. Not to mention the typhoon.
大変だった。鹿児島大学の学生、H本研の院生とK村くんの頑張りのおかげでデータはとれた。カヤックは上手に使えたし、DO、光、流れのデータはとれた。密度、光合成活性、とそのGPSのデータもとれた。
B評価かな。
This year's fieldwork was very taxing. I think Mr. K, the students from Kagoshima and Dr. Hashimoto's grad student did a great job, and because of them we were able to get some usable data. I think the kayak greatly enhanced our work. Got all the data for dissolved oxygen, light, and water velocity. Also got alot of data on plant density, photosynthesis activity, and GPS info. Regardless of all that work, I'll give us a "B".
