研究者へのみち
研究者になるためには苦労してきたな。先の見えない日々でした。多くに人は２・３回以上PDをし、そのうえ運とタイミングがよければポスト獲得。センターのK原さんは一般の人と違ってたったPD1回で、琉大のTT助教ゲット。去年からペーパーをたくさんだしたのが一番よかっただろう。すごいな。毎日研究をして、泡盛のんで、テビチとソーキソバをたべて南国ライフを楽しんでください。そのうちに、20℃きったら寒いとおもいはじめるよ。

One of the things about becoming a scientist is the long road you need to follow. In most cases, you end doing 2 or 3 postdocs before you land a spot in the other side. One our PDs at the center has found that spot and will be a PD no more. After just 1 PD and flurry of great papers she will be going to the University of the Ryukyus, where she will on the tenure track. Congratulations!
BTW, in the tenure track is a rather new concept in Japan that I will discuss in the near future.
